The line graph illustrates the inquiries received by the Tourist Information Office concerning a single city over six months in 2011.
Overall, people often inquired about the information by making a direct visit to the office, and the trend seemed to have increased rapidly. The telephone is also a preferred method to seek details on a subject matter. Unlike others, the letters and email category declined and appeared to be at least by the end.
At the start of the year, in-person visits remained at their lowest point, slightly just above 400 in number. However, by approximately February 15th, it had surpassed inquiries through letters and calls by mid-March. By June, almost 2000 people had visited to get direct access to the information from the office. Likewise, over the past six months, the rate of inquiries by phone has remained steady. Although there was a slight decrease in numbers from roughly 900 to 700 in the second month, the statistics have ever since maintained their rise, with a total of 1600 inquiries by the end of June.
In contrast, letters and emails, even though they started strong with a sum value of approximately 750 in January, have ever since declined, gaining a major dip after March. Within one month, there was a decrease in almost 100 inquiries at the start of April, reaching its lowest valuation of around 350 in May.
