The number of total visitors doubled in 2013 compared to 2010.
By 2017, cruise ships experienced noticeable growth, with about a fourfold increase in 2017 in comparison with the 2014 figures, respectively. Regarding the stayers on the island, they did not change and stayed at the same 1.5 million until 2017, except from 2016, with a slight drop.
