We realize that the popularity of the Caribbean island increased in the period. Visitors prefer staying at the island rather than on the cruise.
In 2010, the tourists at the Caribbean islands were total of one million out of which 75 percent love spending their night at the island whereas only 25,000 stay on the cruise overnight.
In 2012, there was a sudden drop in the people wanting to enjoy time on the ships as the people had done vise versa in 2011 with around 50,000 of them spending the night on ships. From 2013 onwards, there has increase in demand of being on ships with a huge resurgence of popularity of cruise ship with approximately 2,00,000 visitors on the cruise ships.
The island has been the hotspot for vacationers throughout the years but, there was stagnancy from 2010 to 2011 after which demand for island has increased. From 2013 to 2015 (1.5 million visitors) there has been no change with a slight dip in 2016 and regaining the previous position similar to 2015.
