The table demonstrates the data of adults participating in leisure activities in urban and rural areas in percentage in 1990 and 2010 with four activities which are reading, animated play, playing and photographing.
Overall, the table has revealed considerable distributions between features in the two given years. It is apparent that in 1990, the highest percentage in reading was found in both urban and rural areas which were quite identical with 10% difference. The same thing happened in 2010 in which reading was the highest but at the same rate.
In 1990, photography held the lowest percentage with seven and 14% in urban and rural areas respectively. Following was playing which is 21% ( urban) and 26% ( rural), 11% and eight percent superior to animated play. Meanwhile, the lowest belonged to animated playing in 2010. Examining in playing and photography which are marginally more or less than each other, there was a diminutive difference from the rest. While the other two were generally observed that the proportion between urban and rural did not have such substantial disparity, not only were the data seven to twelve percent apart but they also represented a prominent difference of interest in 2010. In contrast, playing was lower than photography when it came to urban areas, however, this quantity was opposite in rural areas.
Examining in both years, playing and animated playing tended to stay the same or decreased noticeably, except for reading and photography which increased. The quantity in reading has rocketed from 61% and 71% to 78% which was between seven to 17% more. Photography showed a steady rise in which both urban and rural rose for 10% each. The other two – animated play and playing seemed to stay the same or decreased for seven to eight percent.
