The chart shows the actual and projected data of car ownerships in one surveyed country. The share is measure in percentage and the data is measured in a ten-year intervals between the year of 1995 and the predicted year of 2025.
It can be analysed that most people only have 1 car over the last three decades, followed by the amount of people who don’t have any cars at all. One-car ownerships in 1995 surprisingly has the highest percentage of over 40% of all the people surveyed in that year. It can also be concluded that there is a relatively steady decrease in the amount of people who doesn’t have a car in the last three decades.
Surprisingly, more people are expected to not have a car in the upcoming year of 2025. Although it can also be seen that some others will have more than one cars by that year, and its rate is projected to be around 10% higher than the previous decade.
Overall, car ownerships can fluctuate a lot in the span of multiple years, decades, or even centuries. Who knows whether the percentage will have an increase or decrease in the next couple of years.
