Overall, it is clear that French is the highest languages has been learned by New Zealand students, meanwhile the figures that decreased can be seen in Japanese and German. By contrast, students studied Chinese was on the upward trends. Two remaining languages had many fluctuations but stayed stable over the period given.
In terms of highest figure, the started point of proportion students learning French was 30% in 2006, after which had a slightly increased to 33% in 2008. In the next six years, there were several fluctuations can be seen but stayed steady. Similarly, in 2006, 20% of primary studied Spanish before having a rose to 25% in 2011 then dropped to the same percentage in the started point. While only about 7% students studied other languages, after which fluctuated through several years then rose significantly to 15% in 2013 before decreased to a start point in the next year.
Regarding Japanese language, there were 27% of New Zealand students learned in 2006, the decreased can be seen in next 2 years then recovered to 26% in 2009, after which has a decreased steadily to approximately 17% in last years given. Turn to German language, which began at 13% in 2006, and then after several fluctuations it was ended up in 15% in 2014
