Overall, Northern Ireland is the only country that suffered a decrease in part-time workers since 1980. In addition, it is the country with the least employment contracts of reduced hours labours. In contrast, Wales is the highest in both years, followed by England very closely in 2010.
In 1980, Northern Ireland was the third highest country with approximately a 15% of these workers, whilst Scotland was fourth. However, this changed in 2010 being third Scotland and fourth Northern Ireland with nearly 20% and 15% respectively.
Wales has been the top country in both years with an average above 30%, in addition, in 2010 it has increased steadily. Wales is followed closely by England in 2010 due to the jump made with the pass of time from 25% to above of 30%.
