The bar chart illustrates the percentage of part-time employees in four diffirent nations of the United Kingdom in the years 1980 to 2010.

Overall, the percentage of almost all country part-time workers increased with the exeption for Nothern Ireland. Noteably, the proportion of short-term employees in Scotland saw a more dramatic rise between 1980 and 2010. In addition, the proportion of part-time workers in Wales made up the largest share in both years.

Starting approximately at 25% of workforce working part-time in England rose significantly to roughly 30% by 2010. The largest relative increase was observed in Scotland, whose figure rose from 10% to 20% between 1980 and 2010.

With the initial figure of 31%, Wales recorded a rise around 35%, representing the smallest increase by the end of the period. By contrast, Nothern Ireland was the only nation with decreasing percantage of part-time employees, dropping slightly from about 15% in 1980 to approximately 12% in 2010.
