The graph illustrates the percentage of individuals by age group attending the cinema a minimum of once in a month in one particular nation between 1978 to 2008.
Overall it is clear that, the age between 14 to 24 had the highest percentage of people attending the cinema among the four categories, whereas the age above 50 got the lowest percentage of individuals visiting cinema.
In 1978, 90% of the individuals between the age of 14 to 24 went to cinema, there was a slight change in 1988. However, in 2008 it recorded around 88% of going to cinema. However, in 1998 there was a sharp increase in the of participants to around 75%. It recorded the same percentage in 2008. The age from 25 to 34 start with 80% of people visiting the cinema, the percentage dropped to 60% in 1988, furthermoer it rose back to 80% in 1998 and remained the same till 2008 where it dropped slightly to around 78%.
On the other hand,the age between 35 to 49 recorded 60% of people going to cinema in 1978. In 1993, the percentage reduced to 50%. In 1998, the number people attending cinema increased to 70%, the number of attendees remained the same throughout the coming years which ended with 70%. The age above 50 begin with 40% in 1978, it decreased to 30% in 1988 however it rose 50% in 1998 and remained unchange till 2008.
