The table illustrates the number of people who are unemployed in nine different countries in the year’s 1994 and 2004. Overall, it is evident that unemployment rate has decreased in many countries while in other countries it has increased.
First of all, In 1994 the number of people who were unemployed is 2.8=7 in Japan which is the lowest among the nine countries. In contrast to that Ireland has the highest rate of unemployed people with 14.8 percentage. They were followed by Australia with 5% .The USA and Germany have similar rate of 7 and 7.2 %. Meanwhile 9.5% of the residents of UK were unemployed. The other 3 countries were Canada, Italy and Poland which has the unemployment rate between 10.5 and 12.5%.
On the other hand, In 2004 only 4.4% of people in Ireland were unemployed which is the lowest among the other 9 countries. While Poland had the largest unemployment rate of 19%. Furthermore, countries like Italy, Canada, UK and USA has the rate of unemployed people with 8.4%,7.7%,4.7%,5.4% respectively. Australia and USA has same number of Jobless people.
In conclusion, In the year 2004 five of the nine countries has decreased their rate of unemployed people while the other four countries had a hike in unemployed residents if the country.
