The bar chart illustrates the proportion of people who are unemployed in the range of age from 15 to 24 in comparison with the overall proportion in 5 different countries in Europe in 2005.
Overall, it is clear that while the percentages of unemployment in Poland for both categories was highest, the figure for Denmark indicated the lowest rates.
Regarding the unemployment proportion of 15-24 year old people, there were nearly 37% of this population who didn’t have a job in Poland. This rate was lower in other countries, just around 25% in descending order as Italya, Hungary and Germany. Denmark witnessed a small percentage of unemployment, which was only more than 10%.
For the overall rate, although Poland and Denmark still remained correspondingly in the first and the last position of unemployment at 25% and 8%, the figure for Germany was 20% which made it the second country. This proportion was 5% and 7% more than Italy and Hungary respectively.
