Overall, in Europe, most of internet consumers dominates from the big cities and it also pummeled down internet users from the rural homes. Both the urban and rural areas had a steady increase of internet users throughout entire Europe from 2008 and 2013.
In year 2008, consumers of internet in urban areas are about 12% higher than that of the rural areas with an estimate of 2%. From the years 2009 to 2011, there had been a dramatic increase of consumers and adding a 10% to each year, coming from 30% in 2009, 40% in 2010, 50% in 2011 respectively but it remained steady towards 2013.
Rural areas in Europe had only a gradual increase of internet consumers. An example of this is from the year of 2008 with an estimate of 1% and an approximate of 3% in 2009 and an approximate three quarters in 2010. There had been also a significant increase from 2011 to the end of 2013.
