The bar chart illustrates the percentage of urban and suburban and rural households which had Internet access in a state from Europe from 1999 to 2004.
It can be clearly seen that the graph increased drammatically overtime especially in urban and suburban dwellings.
In 1999, relatively few residents in a country had an Internet access. Only 15 percent of families had it in urban and suburban households while fewer than 5 percent of homes had Internet access in rural residences. The following year, Internet connection in urban and suburban households had doubled which was by 30 percent.During that same time, digital access in rural residences rised modestly to approximately 5 percent. Over the course of several years, there was a gradual increase in both urban and suburban and in rural domestic units. Then between 2002 and 2004 the percentage of Internet connectivity remained more or less steady at near 50 percent in urban and suburban households.
On the contrary, the percentage of rural households with Internet access continued to increase steadily and reached 35 percent by 2004.
While the percentage of households with Internet access increased in both urban and suburban as well as rural homes within the years shown on the graph, the percentage in urban and suburban dwellings continued to remain higher than the percentage in rural dwellings.
