The chart illustrates data from a research study of patients residing in three distinct wards of a hospital and the proportion of patients’ “very good” feedback among different criteria of their hospital journey.
Overall, the quality of medical care received the most compliments from patients; the reverse was true for waiting time. Additionally, Holly Ward was voted to have the top-quality hospital care across all categories.
It was the medication and aftercare that became two top services following patients’ feedback. Specifically, most positive comments about the quality of treatment belonged to Holly Ward, with about 90%, whereas Oak Ward and Maple Ward recorded slightly lower percentages, at 80% and about 70%, respectively. A majority of patients were satisfied with the aftercare service, which was equal to that of treatment, making them the two top-quality services in total. Besides, about 70% of patients had a good experience with this in Oak Ward, which was around 20% higher than that of Maple Ward.
Regarding the two remaining aspects of hospital services, nearly 90% positive comments were given to hospital employees in Holly Ward, with the respective numbers of others being about 70% and nearly 60%. Lastly, waiting time was the worst experience across every ward, despite about 70% of compliments in Holly Ward, while the other wards had an equal percentage of “very good” replies from patients, more than half in each.
