The given line graph compares the sales of three different kinds of books (in million dollars) over a period of four years.
Overall, it can be clearly seen that the sales of educational and children’s books increased gradually from 2002 to 2006. By contrast, the sale of adult fiction books decreased steadily.
In 2002, approximately $45 and $33 million of adult fiction and children’s books were sold, whereas the sale of educational ones was $25 million. Between 2002 and 2003, the sale of adult fiction books fell gradually by $39 million, while the sales of educational and children’ books soared dramatically by $31 and $43 million.
In sharp contrast, the sale of children’s books rose significantly by $57 million between 2003 and 2006. On the other hand, the sale of adult fiction ones declined to $30 million; however, apart from a gradual fall in the sale of educational books between 2003 and 2005, the sale of this kind of book went up and reached to the same figure in 2003.
