Overall, a brief analysis reveals that the children’s books were sold more than the other two categories books, and the least impression of buying books were in academic books.
To begin with, the children’s book sales went up moderately to 58 million in 2006, from 32 million in 2002. Although, selling rates of the adult books were at the top position in the first year at around 45 million, and the figure seen a moderate increase at 40 million in 2004, after a significant decrease to 38 million in 2003. And, within the next two years the sales rate went down steadily to 30 million.
Lastly, the sales figure of educational books had always at the lowest position. In 2002 the sales of these books were over 20 million, and the next year this figure increased to over 30 million. But, before the figure escalated to 32 million in 2006, it is experienced a significant downfall after 2003 to 2005.
