Overall, while in British, German and Australian, using coaches was highest, in Japanese and Korean, aircrafts and private cars were common among travellers. Moreover, in British coaches was the most convenient transport among other countries and vehicles.
In Japanese, about 50% of tourists used air transports in 2004 making it the most common transport among others. While Approximately, 47% of them utilized coaches, 20% used private cars. Ferry was the lowest figure at 75% compared to other vehicles. In the Korean, cars and aircrafts was the most prevalent cars with respective figures of about 47% and 40%. 32% of tourists used coaches as opposed to 5% utilized ferry.
In the British, coach and air transport were widespread among travellers at 58% and 40% respectively. While 28% of them drive private cars, 20% used ferry. In German, 54% of visitors utilized coach compared to 42% of them who used aircrafts. Using cars was 35% making it considerable higher than ferry which was used by 20% of tourists. Regarding Australian tourists, the coach was the most popular choice, used by exactly 50% of visitors. Air travel followed at 25%, while cars were used by 20%. The ferry was the least common method of transport for this group, at only 12%.
