The graph illustrates the rates of unemployment in three different countries from year 1990 to 2004.
Overall, it is immediately apparent that USA had the leading number of unemployment levels in 2000 and 2004, even though it started at a lower percent. Japan experienced a sharp increase during the period of 1996 with a dramatic decline from 1998 and later.
To begin with, Japan started at about 20 percentage in 1990. Despite this, this graph experienced a sharp increase from 20% to 50%, and after this graph stadily lowered. By the end of the period, it demonstrated almost 10%, which is lower compared to the past. In the meantime, the USA showed a sudden rise among 40 to 50 percentage in 1992 and dipped to around 15% in 1994, before reaching a peak to approximately 60% in 2000. UK kept almost the same numbers of unemployment throughout the years, although there was an increase to 40 percentage between the years 1992 to 1998, UK finished the period at a similar level to where it started.
