The line graph illustrates the length of railway tracks in China, the USA, Russia, and India from 1980 to 2010.
Overall, it shows clear that the USA used train tracks more than others. India had the lowest usage of rail lines.
The most noticeable figure is the USA, which started at 250 km. In 1980, China accounted for about 20 km. However, after 10 years it jumped to 50 km, while the USA dipped slightly. At the end of the period, the USA stood at around 220 km, whereas China was approximately 100 kilometres. In addition, India showed a similar trend to China. Nevertheless it began at 25 miles but finished at around 70 kilometres. China had about 30 km more railway tracks than India.
The next country is Russia’s railway track length, which remained stable. At the beginning of the period, it was exactly 150.
Over the decade, the number of kilometres fell slightly. In 2010, the figure levelled off about 140 kilometres. While China and India experienced growth, the USA and Russia fell marginally. Nonetheless, these two countries were among the highest.
