The given line graph illustrates the usage of Twitter by three distinct age groups over a period of 7 years.
At a glance, it is evident that the 18 to 49 year olds display upward trends whereas the 50 to 64 year olds illustrate an erratic pattern.
According to the graph, there was a rapid increase in the Twitter usage of the 18 to 29 year olds from about 15% to just a little less than 50% in the first 6 years. In the following year their usage dropped very slightly.
Turning to the 30-49 age group, Twitter usage began at roughly 8% in 2015 and the level of use experienced several fluctuations over the period. By contrast, usage followed an unchanged trend in the very beginning by the oldest group and this age group showed the lowest engagement. The figures fluctuated between 5% and 8% from 2017 to 2019, peaked at around 12% in 2020 and then declined again, ending at roughly 8% in 2022.
