Overall, it is clear that the amount of coffee produced in Brazil was higher than in other countries during this period. In addition, there was a downward trend in the amount of coffee created in Colombia, while an upward trend was seen in others.
Looking first at Brazil and Vietnam, in 1990, around 0.1 million tons and about 0.7 million tons were the amount of coffee production in Vietnam and Brazil, respectively. After 5 years, there was a significant increase from 0.7 million tons to 1 million tons in the figure for Brazil, while the amount of coffee produced in Vietnam remained unchanged. Moreover, a rapid rise from 1 million tons to 1.5 million tons was seen in the amount of coffee manufactured in Brazil from 1990 to 2000, before reaching a peak of 1.9 million tons in 2010. At the same time, Vietnam experienced a moderate growth from 0.3 million tons to 0.4 million tons between 2000 and 2010.
Turning to Colombia and Indonesia, 1995 saw a slight decrease from 0.6 million tons to 0.5 million tons in the amount of coffee made in Colombia. Besides, the figure for Indonesia stayed the same at 0.2 million tons at the same time. Furthermore, there was a moderate fall from 0.5 million tons to 0.3 million tons in the amount of coffee manufactured in Colombia from 1995 to 2010. In contrast, an upward trend from 0.2 million tons to 0.4 million tons was seen in the figure for Indonesia between 1995 to 2010.
