The given graph offers insights into the weekly consumption of three different types of fast food in the UK between 1970 and 1990.
Most strikingly, the figure for the consumption of pizza experienced an upward trend, while the opposite was true in the case of hamburgers, fish, and chips.
In 1970, the amount of pizza consumed was the highest at more than 300, while that of hamburgers and fish and chips were significantly lower, at only around 30 and 80 grams, respectively. In 1985, pizza consumption fell slightly and reached its lowest point at 200 grams. Whereas, the figures for hamburgers and fish and chips went up gradually, the former at more than 100 grams and the latter at 300 grams.
In 1990, Fish and chips’ weekly consumption increased dramatically to 500 grams and became the highest figure in the line graph while Pizza’s figure experienced a slight rise to about 205 grams. At the same time, the amount of hamburgers consumed went up considerably and hit a peak of nearly 300 grams.
