Overall, it is readily apparent that although the UK is the largest tea importer, Germany imports the highest amount of coffee. Meanwhile, nearly identical figures are recorded in Canada and the US for both commodities.
To begin with, in terms of tea, around 80,000 tonnes of tea is imported by the UK, while this figure is roughly double that of Germany, which observes just over 40,000 tonnes. Conversely, Canada and the US are witnessed the lowest tea importer at about 20,000 and 21,000 tonnes respectively.
Turning to coffee, Germany imports the largest quantity, at 50,000 tonnes, the UK notices the lowest, at only 30,000 tonnes, despite being the most popular tea importer. Meanwhile, similar quantity of coffee imports are noticed in Canada and the US, which is at approximately 40,000 tonnes
each.
