The bar chart provides information on the quantities of tea and coffee imported by four different countries – Canada, the US, the Uk and Germany – with figures given in tons.
Overall, coffee imports exceeded tea in three countries, while the reverse was occurred in the UK. Of particular note is that the UK experienced by far the highest figure for tea, whereas Germany imported the largest amount of coffee.
Focusing on Canada, the US and Germany, coffee was consistently widely imported. Germany recorded comparatively high figures for both products, importing around 50,000 tons of coffee and 40,000 tons of tea. An almost similar pattern can be seen in the US and Canada. In both countries, coffee and tea imports stood at around 40,000 and 20,000 tons respectively.
In contrast, the UK followed a markedly different pattern. Tea imports reached at 80,000 tons, making it by far the highest figure on the chart, while coffee imports were considerably lower at around 30,000 tons.
