The line graph illustrates the percentage of youngsters in universities in four different countries (namely: Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand). The data is given in the period between 1961 and 2011.
Overall, the percentage of young people in university increased. The highest result can be seen in Thailand.
According to this graph, in the period between 1961 and 1991, Thailand showed slight fluctuation; however, from 1991 to 2011 the percentage of young individuals dramatically increased to more than twice. Singapore in 1961 was 15% , but in the next 10 years in rose for 2 times, so that in next 20 years it dipped, and from 1991 to 2001 it slightly decreased to less than 35% and finally grew to 40%
On the other hand, in 1961 the Philippines was more than 5% and slightly went up to 15% in 30 years; moreover, in the next 20 years it increased to 5%. In addition, Malaysia was a little less than 5% at the beginning, but noticeably grew to 10% in 1971, so that in the next 20 years it noticeably increased to 15% and finally remained stable until 2011.
