The line graph compares how much pulse rate changed in time between two distinct individuals, who have different ages and professions.
Overall, the rate of pulse fluctuated throughout the time for both persons. Initially, the young person’s pulse rate was higher than the older one’s. However, this picture got reversed at the end.
To begin with, the pulse rate of Albert, a 26 years old former college athlete, was around 80 bpm at the start. After that, the rate gradually increased, reaching its peak value of roughly 120 bpm at 2 minutes of time. Following this, the rate started to decline and finally became around 90 bpm at 4 minutes.
On the other hand, Mabel’s pulse rate, who was a 36 years old office worker, was nearly 68 bpm initially. Next, the value experienced an upward trend to hit its high at approximately 108 bpm at 2 minutes. Thus, the maximum rate of Mabel was higher than that of Albert. Subsequently, in next 2 minutes, this value sharply fell to around 90 bpm at the end.
