The bar chart illustrates the average number of items which were sold on Saturday of two bakeries, namely Lovely Loaves and Bernie’s Buns, in London in 2010.
Overall, what stands out from the graph is that Bernie’s Buns is generally busier than Lovely Loaves on a typical Saturday. It is also evident that doughnuts are by far the most popular item among customers in both stores, far exceeding those on the other seven categories, while toasted sandwiches sales making up the smallest share across all items.Specifically, in 2010, more than 120 doughnuts and 100 cookies in Bernie’s Buns were sold, which were the highest sales dedicated to those categories. In contrast, those sweet items in Lovely Loaves were within the reported much lower, ranging from 120 to nearly 70. Similarly, Bernie’s Bun sold the number of cakes, rolls and crisps, with around 100 and 80, compared to those in the other store, which were slightly higher, between 70 and over 40.
Regarding the remaining demographics, in Bernie’s Buns, customers bought nearly 50 fresh loaves, while the counterparts in the same item category fell behind at 40. Furthermore, toasted sandwiches in both stores accounted for approximately 25. Finally, the only exception was the number of salads sold, where the number of Lovely Loaves surpassed that of Bernie’s Buns, at over 60 and under 20, respectively.
