The line graph represents the demographical data related to the number of immigrants to the United States from 1990 to 2008.
Overall, there is a high increase in number of immigrants with work permits. There is also a slight rise in migrants with spouses. Coming to Asylums, the numbers rose tremendously untill 2000, then there was a sudden decline in numbers.
In the year 1990, immigrants in each categories were around 20000 to 40000. Till 1995 the numbers remained almost the same in work permit and spouses categories.
The quantity of migrants to US for Asylums kept fluctuating untill 1999, when there was a sudden rise in numbers and this continued untill 2001 reaching 160000 people. After 2001 there was rapid decline in the number of people, reaching around 20000 by 2008. The number of immigrants with work permits kept increasing after 1995, reaching around 130000 by 2008. There was only a slight incline in the number of migrants with spouses. By 2008, the number of people increased to 40000.
