The bar graph depicts the estimated oil production of some Gulf countries ranging from 1990 to 2010. In 1990, Saudi Arabia produced roughly 8 millions of barrels per day, significantly succeding neighboring countries. On the contrary, Qatar produced the least oil with less than 1 million barrels per day.
A decade later, Iran was the second largest oil producer country in that region with almost 4 million barrels per day. At the same period, UAE, Iraq and Kuwait produced similar oil at around 2.5 million barrels.
In 2005, the oil production of Saudi Arabia sharply increased from previous decade to more than 12 million barrels per day. The statistics were followed by Iran with 4 million barrels. Meanwhile, Qatar maintained the least oil production country along with a decrease.
At the end of the period, Qatar’s oil production remained relatively insignificant over the last four decades with less than one million barrels per day, while the rest of the countries had improvement in oil production with Saudi Arabia remained as the most producer with more than 14 million barrels per day.
