The provided graph illustrate the proportion of people using the Internet in percentage in four different age groups in Taiwan in from 1998 to 2000.
Overall, it is been observed that the age category from 16- 30 old accounted for the highest proportion, which contrast with the figures for those over 50s and under 15 years old.
When looking at the graph, it is evident that the demographic of 16-30 years had the largest made of use of Internet, but presenting a gradual decrease trend, with 53% at the beginning of the period, before dropping in the followed next two years at 45% and 44%, respectively. The age group of 31-50 years old experienced a similar downward trend by starting with 41% of people using the Internet and finishing the period at 37%.
By contrast, the figures of children under 15 and people aged over 50 witnessed an increased rate in the using the internet in Taiwan, starting the first year with 2% and 4%, respectively, and by the last year at 9% and 10%.
