The line graph illustrates the amount of fruit produced in the four given countries (France ,Spain ,Germany and Turkey) overall 40-year period from 1970 to 2010.
Overall, Spain remained the largest producer of fruit across the whole period, despite a slight decline towards the end, while Turkey and France increased, whereas Germany experienced a steady decrease.
Spain and Germany both experienced a decline in fruit production over the period. While Spain figure increased slightly to approximately 6 million tons in 1980 before falling gradually to about 5 million tons by 2010, Germany output dropped more noticeably, decreasing steadily from nearly 3 million tons in 1970 to just above 1 million tons at the end of the timeframed.
In contracts Turkey and France both went up during the period, but Turkey increased more steadily. Turkey started at about 2 million tons in 1970 and rose gradually to around 3.5 million tons in 2010. France also grew, beginning at roughly 1.1 million tons, then going up to 2 million tons in 1990. After a small drop in 2000, it rose slightly again and reached about 2.3 million tons by the end of the period.
