Overall, what stands out from the graph is that there were considerable upward trends in the consumption of hamburgers and pizza, while fish and chips faced a signiticant decline.
Looking at the details, as regards pizza, in 1975 number of times eaten annually was around 5, then it rose sharply to 85 in 1985. After that, it continued increasing slightly reaching the number of 100 times a year in 1995 and remained unchanged for the next five years. If we look at hamburgers, the trend was similar. At the beginning of the period in 1975 Australian teenagers ate hamburgers 10 times a year, after which it skyrocketed to 85 times a year in 1985. There was then a minimal increase to 100 in 1992, and remained stable until 2000.
By contrast, the amount of fish and chips consumed by adolscents in Australia went in the opposite direction. It started with 100 times, after which experienced a period of instability showing the number of 95 in 1985. Then started to drop considerably to 40 at the end of the period.
