In 2002, children’s fiction were above 30 million sales which increased steadily by around 10 million in 2003.The figure rose slightly to about 48 million purchases in 2005 then peaked to approximately 58 millions in 2006.Notably, educational resources experienced a rise of 6 million sales in 2002 and 2003,where it dropped to just below 30 million in 2004.Its peak stood at about 31 millions in 2006.
Conversely, adult fiction dipped from 45 million purchases in 2002 to 38 million in 2003.Then in 2004,the sales increased slightly to 40 million then it dropped drastically to 40 millions in 2006.
