The line graph illustrates the monthly income of four restaurants in Cambridge in 2016, measured in thousands of pounds.
Overall, The Grosvenor earned the highest profits during most of the year, while The Taj Mahal recorded the lowest figures until December, when its income rose dramatically. The Old Hall remained relatively stable, whereas The Pizza House showed moderate growth.
At the beginning of the year, The Grosvenor generated about £100,000 per month, peaking at around £180,000 in March before fluctuating between £120,000 and £150,000 until November. In contrast, The Taj Mahal started with only £20,000 and stayed low for most of the year, but its profits surged sharply to nearly £200,000 in December – the highest figure among all four restaurants.
The Old Hall maintained steady earnings of roughly £80,000 to £100,000 throughout the year, showing little change. Meanwhile, The Pizza House experienced a gradual increase from £50,000 in January to around £120,000 by December.
