The bar chart gives information about the number of male and female players practicing different types of sport in an English town in 2012. A glance at this chart reveals that boys showed more interest in almost kinds of sports than girls except for badminton and swimming.
According to the bar chart, it is obvious that football appealed to the highest number of players with 60 males whereas there were only 21 females playing this sport. This is followed by tennis which was the second popular sport since the number was 50 boys compared to approximately 37 girls.
It is noticed that cycling and hockey shared the same pattern. This is because the number of male attendants who were interested in cycling and hockey was nearly twice as many participants as the quantity of females. To be more specific, the former attracted 35 males in comparision with only 20 females while there were just 15 men and 8 women getting involved in the latter, respectively.
However, the reserve was true for swimming and badminton as there were more female players than male ones who had a passion for these sports. As can be analyzed from this graph, swimming was the most common activity for girls with the attendance of 50 compared with only 42 boys. Similarly, badminton appealed to more women, but the figures were 40 and 30 in turn.
