The graph compares four museum attendances in the period between 1980 and 2015. The results are given in millions. The research was conducted at the Louvre, the Vatican Museum, the London Science Museum and the Shenzhen Museum.
From an overall perspective, it can be seen that the Louvre and Vatican Museum always held the position of the most visited places, which now attract even more people than in the past; whereas, the popularity of the Shenzhen Museum and the London Science Museum either did not increase significantly or decreased.
Regarding cultural venues in France and Italy, they drew attention of 8 million and more than 5 million, respectively, of science and history lovers. While the figures of the Vatican museum grew steadily, the Louvre, experienced some fluctuation from 1985 to 2000; however, their results equaled when almost 10 million of people visited them in 2015.
With respect to London and Shenzhen, they started off at the 4 million mark. Then, they faced a decline in the amount of visitors, and only a Chinese museum improved the situation and finished with 4 million in 2015; whereas, doors of Science Museum opened for 2 million of individuals.
