The graph illustrated the percentages of 15 years olds with low literacy levels in four different coutries (Austria, Denmark, Ireland, and Swedan) in between 2000 and 2009.
Overall, it’s clear that Austria had rise slightly and being the most country that children had minim leteracy. In contrast, Denmark had decreased line graph over the period.
In 2000, Denmark being the most highest percentages at above 18% of children who had low reading and writing activities. However, They were low slightly in last period and reached number 15%. While, Autria show contrast line graph with other counties. They were started at around 14% at the first period and rose slightly at 2006 to around 22%. Moreover, this country reached their highest record at 27% in last period.
On the other hand, Swedan and Ireland also show increased percentages over the period. At first period to secod period, Ireland had the lowest number compared with other countries. Ireland show stable in 2000 to 2003. Rose slightly in 2009 and reached number above 17%. Likewise, Sweden also stable at around 13% and rise to 17%, same number of with Ireland.
