The data illustrates the proportion of gender of employees among departments of a leading university in 2012.
Overall, males are employed at a higher number in most faculties whereas females dominate in certain sectors of the university. Departments of Business, Engineering, Law, and Science are dominated by men while Arts, Education and Medicine by the ladies.
The highest number of male staff is in the Engineering faculty at around 85% while the lowest is seen in Education with just above 20%. Business sector takes second place with just above 65% and Law next at 60%.
Most female staff are employed in the Education faculty with around 75% while Engineering department has the least number at around 15%. Arts and Medicine has female domination with just above 40% and 50% respectively although it is higher by just a slight amount of around 3% in Medicine.
