Overall, watching is the most popular activity among all categories, with the exception of fishing. Furthermore, football and horse riding and racing stand for the highest percentages of watching, whereas fishing record the highest proportion for participating.
The gap between watching and participating in Rugby, basketball and badminton are relatively small. Regarding rugby, there is about 30% for watching and 20% for participating, and the figure for the former is 10% higher than that of the latter. In addition, while there is 38% males watching basketball, there is only 25% for engaging in this activity. For badminton, while 25% are participants in this kind of sports, there is 29% of females who are viewers.
However, the three remaining groups: football, fishing and horse and riding and racing account for the larger gaps between watching and playing of the bar chart. There are 45% and 10%, 15% and 50%, 45% and 18% respectively.
