Overall, it is clear that women’s clothes are the most popular items in winter and spring. Furthermore, a similar trend is witnessed in summer and autumn.
Looking at the chart detail, there was 40,000 US dollars in sales of women’s clothes in winter, while this figure in spring was 60,000 US dollars. Sales of men’s clothes in winter were higher than that of men’s clothes in spring by around 10,000 dollars. While sports equipment in winter recorded sales over 30,000 dollars, which was lower than that in spring, which was at 40,000 dollars, cosmetics recorded the opposite trend, with sales under 30,000 dollars and about 20,000 dollars. As for jewellery in winter and spring, sales remained unchanged at 20,000 dollars.
In terms of summer and autumn, women’s clothes saw the highest sales figure in US department stores, at around 80,000 dollars and approximately 110,000 dollars, respectively. Summer and autumn witnessed a similar trend in sales of men’s clothes, which were at 40,000 dollars, and an opposite trend in that of sports equipment. Sports equipment sales in winter were twice as much as that in summer. Summer recorded sales of cosmetics and jewellery that were around 30,000 and over 20,000 dollars, respectively. Finally, sales of cosmetics were lower than jewellery by approximately 10,000 dollars.
