The line graph illustrates the number of books in total, which was sold at three different bookshops, namely Barnes & Noble, Cozy Corner and Frugai Muse, in a city named Bayside the previous year.
Overall, it is clear that all three bookshops recorded an upward trend, while Cozy Corner experienced a volatile trajectory in the first-half year. Moreover, the total number of books sold in Frugai Muse, whose books sold the least in most of the year at first, outperformed both Barnes & Noble and Cozy Corner at the upper end of scale.
On the one hand, the total number of books in Barnes & Noble and Frugai Muse followed a similar pattern conversely, despite of differences between the month experienced. Starting at approximately 23,000 books in January, Barnes & Noble became the dominant shop with the highest revenue, its figure continuously rose till May. From May to the end of the period, books sold in Barnes & Noble created an arch-like trajectory, maxed out at around 42,000 books in August. However, the former was surpassed by the latter in the end of the year, specifically in November and December. The Barnes & Noble’s proportion gradually fall, while those of Frugai Muse recorded the highest number in December, reached roughly 31,000 books. In contrast, Frugai Muse started to arch in March and settled in August, fluctuation then happened.
On the other hand, Cozy Corner also passed through a striking trajectory. In the first-half of the year, its figure witnessed a fluctuate trend, experiencing several ups and downs throughout the period. Conversing with the former timeline, the latter one recorded a minimal net change. Starting in August, its figure remained almost stable till December at around 22,000 books.
