Taken as a whole, smartphone possession from 2000 to 2010 witnessed a gradual increase over this period. Additionally, regarding level of education, all dimensions saw the higher rate of the year 2010 in smartphone ownership.
In 2000, the proportion of people possessing smartphones was at 40%, then rose gradually to approximately 60% in 2006, after hitting at around 50% in 2002 and 2004. Smartphone possession in 2010 counted nearly 10%, higher than that in 2008.
Regarding individuals without high school certificate, with considerably higher percentage in 2010 with approximately 48%, compared to 2000 with almost 18%, while the rate of high school graduate was more than 30% in 2000, one half of that was in 2010. Basically, the proportion of people owned smartphones in Batchelor, Master and Doctorate degrees had no significantly discrepancies with around 70% and 80% in 2010, whereas that in 2008 showed a slight growth, ranging from roughly 60% to 75%.
