According to the first graph which detailed the expenses in the UK, the percentage of consumers spending on housing ranked first, which was approximately 30%. The second place was taken by food, which was at 18%. After it were transport and going out, which were spent on the same amount, at about 15%. Lastly, the British people spent 12% on books and 10% on films and DVDs.
Moving on to the second chart about expenses in the US, the Americans spent most on food, which was 25%. Right after it was rent at about 20%. The proportion of transport, books and going out was 15%. And lastly, people in America spent least on DVDs, which was 10%.
