The pie charts illustrate the reasons why students aged 18-24 and those aged 25 and over chose to study at Dorrifod University. The data highlights clear differences in priorities between younger and older learners.
For the 18-24 age group, the most significant reason was the university’s proximity to home, accounting for 36%. Course offerings were almost equally influential at 35%. Campus facilities were selected by 14% of students, while 9% valued the opportunity to study abroad. Only small proportions considered the reputation of teaching staff and industry connections important, at 2% and 4% respectively.
Among students aged 25 and above, being close to home was slightly more important, rising to 39%. However, course offerings were less significant at 24%. In contrast to younger students, industry relevance became a major factor for older learners at 20%, and the teaching staff’s reputation also gained importance at 12%. Facilities were chosen by only 2% of older students, while 3% valued study-abroad opportunities.
Overall, younger students focused mainly on course variety and location, while older students placed greater emphasis on professional relevance and teaching quality.
