Overall, in both year, there were more men who received their full driving licenses compared to the women. The adult men in their 30-39 dominated in 1975/1976, while those in their 50-60 dominated in 2006 and had a significant difference with the previous year. The majority of driving licenses in the women category was own by those in their 30-39 years old (in 1975-1976), wherease in 2006, the group with age between 40 and 49 had more considerable amount.
The men adolescent in their 17-20 ages had lower driving permission percentage compared to other group, which didn’t exceed 40% in both recorded years. The men in their 21-29 years was the only category that had less driving licenses in 2006 compared to 1975-1976, indicating that this is the only group who experienced downward trend. In comparison, the percentage of other men age categories in terms of having driving licenses were increasing, with the 30-39 served as the largest in 1975-1976, while in 2006, the 50-59 was dominating and surpassed 80%.
The women in their 70’s and above had the least driving licenses in both years, representing for just below 40%. However, it was clear that all of the women categories had more driving licenses in 2006 compared to 1975 and 1976, with the 30-39 dominated in 1975-1976, then taken back by a slight difference with the 40-49 age group in 2006.
