Regarding films released, both 1996 and 2000 had a decline trend. In 1996, the drama genre took a large proportion at around 26%. The comedy and fantasy genre received exactly 20% and around 13%, took second and third place. In 2000, the percentage of drama was the most common at 35% compared to other genres. At the same time, the proportion of comedy has increased exactly 5% points to 25%, while fantasy only at around 16%. Additionally, romance remained unchanged at 6% in both years.
Turning to cinema ticket sales, in 1996, the percentage of the drama genre at around 16% and the year after was only increased about 2 percent to nearly 18%. The comedy genre took a large proportion in both 1996 and 200 at exactly 15% and around 23%, respectively. With fantasy has an increased trend from around 3% in 1996 to around 7% in 2000, while romance has an opposite trend from exactly 5% in 1996 and fell down to around 2% in 2000.
