Generally, it can be clearly seen that fast food is very popular nowadays, especially among young people. The consumption of fast food has increased steadily from 2005 to the present and is expected to continue rising in the future
Starting with Salad, just had only 5 units in 2005, which occupied the lowest position in the table. However its consumption rose significantly to the present and might reach the peak in the future with 41 units. By contrast, Hamburger and Fried chicken had large consumption in 2005 with 40 and 50 units respectively. Then hamburger sightly declined by 2 units but it is expected to rose significantly with 50 units in 2025. Besides Fried chicken did not fluctuate dramatically, increasing 2 units from 2005 to the present and will reach 45 units in 2025
The amount of Fried rice and Noodles consumed in Melbourne had relatively low consumption in the table with 6 units . Fried rice increased slightly to 9 units and will remain unchanged in the future. Correspondingly, Noodles rose from 6 to 9 units – a relatively small number.
The table demonstrates a clear upward trend in the consumption of fast food in Melbourne, with salad showing the most significant growth, while Fried rice and noodles display relatively modest in increases.
