The line graph illustrates the sales of fiction and non-fiction books in one year at a bookstore on campus. Overall, two figures witnessed similar trends; with stable figures in the first period of the year, a fluctuation in the middle period and an increase in the number of books in the last two months. The figures for fiction books are always higher than that of non-fiction.
As can be seen from the graph, while fiction sales remained stable at around 350 books between January and April, the number of non-fiction books sold was increasingly steady, climbing from around 125 books to exactly 250 books in April. The period between May and August witnessed a fluctuation in both sales. However, in September; the sales of fictional books rose back to the previous 350 books sold in May, while the figures for non-fiction sank to below 100 books, which is the lowest point in the graph.
Between September and November, two figures differed noticeably with fiction books reducing by more than 100 books and non-fiction ones slowly rising to below 150. In December, fiction and non-fiction sales similarly underwent a considerable rise to more than 350 and around 275 books respectively.
