The line graph gives information about employment in manufacturing, services and agriculture over the 50 year period in the United states.
From an overall perspective, it can be seen that in the first year the most common
occupation was agriculture, while manufacturing and services had downward trends. Services had a significant rise and it is predicted to grow in the future.
In 1975, agriculture had the highest employment with 80 million employers, whereas manufacturing had the lowest with approximately 10 million workers only. After two years, agriculture stayed unchanged and manufacturing increased steadily. Agriculture decreased dramatically to about 42 million in 1979. In 1980, manufacturing reached a peak at 40 million workers and then plunged to approximately 18 million manufacturing workers. In 2025, manufacturing and agriculture are predicted to have a decrease.
In comparison, services started with a small number of employers( 9 million approximately) and rose significantly every year. In 2025, it is forecasted that it will climb with 100 million services workers.
