Overall, the amount of castle and aquarium visitors increased first but then decreased. The proportion of castle visitors remained as an unchanged figure after slight decrease but the percantages of zoo visitors increaced before many flactuations.
The percentage of tourists visiting the Edinburgh castle peaked in 1995 but in 1980, it showed around 25% then increased nearly 45% in 1995. After that, it declained steadily to 35% in 2000 and then in 2010 stood at 30% after continuous decrease.
The proportion of people who visited festivals recorded at 30% in 1980 but then decreased at approximately 27% in 1985 and remained nearly unchanged at 27% untill 2010. The percantage of aquarium visitors accounted for 20% in 1980 but then increased at 35% . In 1990, it showed again 20% after significant decrease and this decrease continued and reached at around 8%. The zoo accounted for 10% of visitors in 1980. Then the percentage fluctuated around 10% and rose from 10% to 20% in 2010.
